Bolognese: Slow Cooked Beef & Pork
Serves 4-6 with pasta
A proper Bolognese takes time. There’s no shortcut to getting it right.
My version is slow cooked the way it should be, using quality beef and pork and giving it the hours it needs to develop real depth. I’ve done the standing over the stove part for you, so you can enjoy it without the wait.
This isn’t a thin meat sauce. It’s thick, rich, and balanced. The meat, vegetables and wine are cooked down together until everything settles into one deep, full flavour.
It’s perfect with your choice of pasta, spooned over creamy polenta or added to a jacket potato. However you serve it, it tastes like it’s been cooked all afternoon.
